Iran Reports Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and continuing attack targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any destruction is not yet known and the US has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their territorial skies.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence said it had intercepted a number of projectiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
Operation "Truthful Promise 4"
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations linked to the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the government.

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military said it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems responded to the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some property damage and killing a civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the UAE Air Force.
